Catching You Up on Us!

As most of you probably know, a lot has changed for us in the past month and a half. On June 11th, Will retired from baseball with the Red Sox to take a job at Wabash College as their assistant baseball coach. We moved back shortly after and he started doing camps and recruiting right away. We stayed in my parents' apartment while everything got worked out for our housing, which the college is providing. About a month after arriving in Crawfordsville, we moved into "our" house! It's a cozy two bedroom/one bath with a large living room, nice size kitchen, deck, and yard. It is right by campus so Will can walk to work, which is so nice for me and Mia because we like to get out! We have been here not quite two weeks, yet things feel very comfortable here. We still have the pictures to hang on the wall and curtains to make or find, but other than that, it's set! We are really enjoying having all this space to ourselves (including Mia having her own room again!).

July has been a very good month. We have really enjoyed getting to do things as a family that we have never done before because of baseball. For example, go to baseball game (together!)...

And celebrate the Fourth of July...

We also were able to celebrate our nephew and godson Samir's birthday on July 11th - for the first time! - and he turned 5. (The party was sort of for Mia too in that she got presents too.)

While we were in Ohio we also visited our other godson, Isaiah, who had just celebrated his second birthday (and of course we were happy to see our friends Josh and Carrie!).

On the 17th, we had a part for Mia! It was a wonderful gathering of friends and family! Mia had a great time! She especially enjoyed her "fruit cake".

But I enjoyed the cupcakes! (both the making and eating :)

And, of course, she loved all her presents!

She is quite the little princess!

We kept the next day, her actual birthday, pretty low key but we did move our bed into the house and some other last minute things. On Tuesday we took the two last loads over to the house and officially moved in. It was a tiring, but satisfactory day. Since then we have just been working on getting everything in order. Will is doing some office time at the college as well as giving tours to prospective students. He's home a lot right now which is very nice. We enjoy taking walks on the pretty campus.

It's nice to be settled... and know it will last longer than a few months! :) I have yet to take pictures of the house, but I will so be sure to look for them sometime next week!

Here are few other favorite pictures from July...

Enjoying watermelon on the 4th!

Went down the slide for the first time, and loved it!

The three youngest girls on Will's side - Mia, Nadeema (3 mo), and Marina (18 mo.)
We predict they will be the 3 Musketeers! haha

She now has a love for her blankets!

Playing in our new backyard.

Oh, I love that smile!
